Getting Started

How do I create a tandem?

After signing up, click "Create New Tandem" from your dashboard. Give your tandem a name and optional description, then click create. You can then invite your partner to join.

How do I invite my writing partner?

From your tandem page, click the "Invite Partner" button. Enter their email address and they'll receive an invitation link. Once they sign up and accept, they'll have access to your tandem.

What if my partner doesn't receive the invitation?

Check that the email address is correct. Also ask them to check their spam folder. If the issue persists, you can resend the invitation from your tandem settings or contact support for help.

Writing & Editing

How do I publish an article?

Click "Write Article" from your tandem page. Add a title, write your reflection or story, and optionally upload an image or video. Click "Publish" when you're ready to share it.

Can I edit my article after publishing?

Yes! Click the "Edit" button on your published article. Make your changes and save. The article will show when it was last edited, maintaining transparency with your readers.

What media formats are supported?

You can upload images (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF) and videos (MP4). Each article supports one media piece. Images are automatically optimized for the best viewing experience.

Is there a limit to article length?

Articles have a minimum of 50 characters and a maximum of 5,000 characters. This encourages focused, thoughtful reflections rather than overly long posts.

Invitations & Collaboration

Can I change my writing partner?

Currently, once a partner joins a tandem, they remain part of that tandem. However, you can create new tandems with different partners at any time.

Can I have multiple tandems?

Yes! You can create and participate in multiple tandems with different partners. Each tandem is independent and has its own timeline and content.

How do tandems remain public?

All tandems are publicly visible and can be discovered through the Explore page. This allows others to follow your creative journey and discover new collaborative stories.

Account & Settings

How do I update my profile?

Go to your Profile page from the user menu. You can update your name, add an avatar, and customize your public profile information.

How do I change my password?

Password management is handled through your account settings. Click on your profile, then select "Account Settings" to update your password.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account from Account Settings. Please note that this will remove all your tandems and articles. This action cannot be undone.

Technical Issues

The page isn't loading properly. What should I do?

Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. If the issue persists, try using a different browser or device. Contact support if problems continue.

My image won't upload. Why?

Make sure your image is in a supported format (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF) and under 10MB. Very large images may take longer to upload. Try reducing the image size if upload fails.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

We appreciate bug reports! Please contact us through the Contact page with details about what happened, what you expected to happen, and any error messages you saw.
